To do Task List
Managing the tasks you need to undertake on your website projects is now even easier with the new powerful Task List function in the BestAddress HTML Editor.
The Task List enables you to conveniently add, modify and track the status of tasks that you need to undertake directly from the editing environment. You can even delegate tasks to be completed to various members of your team, and add comments as you go.

To show or hide the task list window
- On the View menu, check or uncheck To-do Task List.
Adding a New Task
- If the Task List is not visible, show it.
- On the toolbar at the top of the window, click the Add Task button.
- Enter the applicable information for the task in the window that is displayed.
- Click the Add button.
Modifying an Existing Task
- If the Task List is not visible, show it.
- Click the existing task you wish to modify.
- On the toolbar at the top of the window, select the Details button.
- Modify the task in the window that is displayed, then click Update.
Flagging a Task as Completed
- If the Task List is not visible, show it.
- Select the task you wish to mark as completed.
- On the toolbar at the top of the window, click the Completed button.
Deleting Tasks
Deleting tasks permanently removes them from the Task List. Once a task has been finished, the best option is to mark them as being completed.
- If the Task List is not visible, show it.
- Select the task you wish to delete.
- On the toolbar at the top of the window, click the Delete button.
Creating New Task Lists
Task lists are stored as files. You can have an unlimited number of task lists on your computer. Each time you display the Task List window, the BestAddress HTML Editor will always open the last Task List that you worked on.
- If the Task List window is not visible, show it.
- On the toolbar at the top of the window, click the drop-down arrow next to the Task Group button.
- On the menu that appears, choose New Group.
- Save the task list file.
Opening Task Lists
Task lists are stored as files. You can have an unlimited number of task lists on your computer. Each time you display the Task List window, the BestAddress HTML Editor will always open the last Task List that you worked on. To open a different task list:
- If the Task List window is not visible, show it.
- On the toolbar at the top of the window, click the drop-down arrow next to the Task Group button.
- On the menu that appears, choose Open Group.
- Open the task list file.
Saving Task Lists to New Locations
Task lists are stored as files. You can have an unlimited number of task lists on your computer. Each time you display the Task List window, the BestAddress HTML Editor will always open the last Task List that you worked on. To save or back-up the task list you are using to a different location:
- If the Task List window is not visible, show it.
- On the toolbar at the top of the window, click the drop-down arrow next to the Task Group button.
- On the menu that appears, choose Save To New Location.
- Save the task list file.
