Image Bar

On the top you can find the Image Bar. Please move your mouse cursor to the top of your screen to have it appear.

What is it good for?

The Image Bar contains many different valuable functions you might need while editing your capture.

What can it do?

You can rename the Capture, cut a selection or undo the last step to name a few.

What should be known?

Extreme size changes can take a certain time.

Scroll tool Scroll

To use the scroll tool, select it in the edit bar, and then drag the image in the direction you want it moved. Note: The image has to be increased.

Select tool Select

This tools gives you an easy possibility to work with selection. You can use it to cut a portion on an image, paste an image from the clipboard into another image, or crop the selection to create a new image. Hint: You can resize and/or move the selection by moving your mouse cursor to the borders of it. The selection rectangle aligns itself automatically if you are in a high zoom mode (eg: 3000% zoom) to ease you copying/cutting a real small portion of an image (eg: a 8x8 Pixel sized portion).

That enables you to hide parts of an image quickly – for example e-mail addresses, account information, a face and so on.

Cut a selection Cut a selection

Use this function to cut a selection.

Crop a selection Crop a selection

Use the feature to select a single area of the image you want to crop.

Undo Undo

The undo function will preserve your last editing step as often as you want because it is an unlimited undo.

Redo Redo

Redo all editing steps as long as you want to.

Increase Increase

Shows the capture in a increased view. The enlargement can be implemented several times.

100 percent (original size) 100 percent

The original size of the picture will be restored.

Decrease Decrease

Shows the capture in a reduced view. The reduction can be implemented several times.

Rotate to the right Rotate to the right

Rotates the image by 90 degree to the right.

Rotate to the left Rotate to the left

Rotates the image by 90 degree to the left.

Resize canvas Resize canvas

This Resize Canvas-tool changes the canvas size of an image or stack without scaling the actual image. The width and height may be either expanded or contracted. If the canvas size is increased, then the border is filled with the current fill color. To change the background color, use the choose color button at the bottom of the dialogf. The position of the old image within the new canvas may also be specified using the image position dropdownbox.

Resize capture Resize capture

Using the Resize Image-tool allows you to comfortably resize an image. The different measurement units can be accessed from the units dropdownbox right next to the hight and width of the image. If a different unit is chosen, the tool converts from e.g pixel to centimeter automatically. The filter options lets you define which conversion methode should be applied.

Rename capture Rename capture

Renames your capture by typing a new name in the input field.

Open the help Open the help

Opens directly the help section of the edit tools.
