Archives
On the "Archives" tab page of Automatic MP3 Music Organizer main window are located options for archives processing control.
Automatic MP3 Music Organizer have extended archives support, in additional to instruments, that it applies to all standard types of data.
An archive normally refers to a collection of files that have been combined into one single file. The files within an archive are usually compressed, which provides several benefits. There are many different compression formats out there and Automatic MP3 Music Organizer supports all major ones. The most popular format is ZIP, which is why many people refer to archives as "zip files."
Compressing files also allows faster transmission of documents across the Internet. By compressing the files you intend to transfer into a single archive, is decreased the total size of the files.
Many files that can be downloaded from the Internet are compressed into an archive (ZIP & RAR are the most common ones) for faster transmission. Most software manufacturers distribute their evaluation and beta versions in a ZIP archive. All of these files are fully compatible with Automatic MP3 Music Organizer.
If processed archive matches to one of archive extraction rules - is will be extracted and all files inside of it will be separately processed (it is useful, for example, for music archives, archived image libraries or books collections). If not, or if archives renaming is disabled - it will be renamed and copied or moved to database according to archives renaming rules. If it is corrupted, have missing volumes or is encrypted by password and is not decipherable - it will be deleted or moved to special place according to archives deleting rules.
