Visual Cropping
If you wish to crop the video output, you may specify the parameters in the Video Cropping section.
Cropping a video is done by providing four parameters
- Cropped width and height
- Position of the cropped picture

Video Cropping allows you to crop the given part of the image and discards the rest.
Visual Cropping
If you wish to crop a specific part from your DVD, which will reduce the size of the video file then you can do this by selecting the Crop Video parameter and pressing the 'dotted' button.

You will see a dialog like the one shown below.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The aspect ratio of the image shown is squashed. This is intentional, as it shows the native resolution of the DVD you have loaded and allows for accurate cropping.
This will not affect your output file

You can now, simply hold down the left mouse button and drag and draw a rectangle or box on the image. This will become the cropped portion of the video.

The Crop Parameters, allow you to 'finely' adjust the crop box on screen. Be careful not to crop outside of the main image as this will result in the video not being cropped properly when ripping starts.
If the image is unsuitable for cropping on, for example the end of a film, displaying the credits and it's hard to determine where the outline of the movie is, simply press the Get Another Image from DVD button.
When your happy with your cropped area, press the Close button and you will be asked if you want to use the cropping area you have defined.

Pressing Yes will transfer the settings back through to the crop parameters in the main program window.
