Rip Stongly Copy Protected DVD
First of all, do not confuse this with regular protection on DVD, which is called CSS.
If you want to rip a DVD that just has regular CSS protection, then you do not need to read any further. Just rip.
Remember, most DVD's don't have this additonal protection, they can just be ripped without any additional work.
The difficulty is knowing what DVD's have this additional form of protection to stop them from being ripped. We would suggest Google is your best friend for this.
4 Popular titles, which do have additional protection are - Casino Royale, Open Season, The DaVinci Code and The Dark Knight
So lets go through the process you need to perform to rip a stongly protected DVD.
After loading in your DVD, you may see the following message.

This is usually shown, when strong protection (or mis-mastered) DVD's are detected.
If you press Yes, the program will automatically enable the option Dump DVD to Hard Drive before Ripping. If you press No, then the program will just load the DVD, but you may have problems ripping it.
You can always switch this option on (if you pressed No by accident and you mean't Yes). By choosing the option DVD Stream Processing before Ripping. This option is located in the DVD Access settings.

OK, thats it. With this option turned on, DVD to iPod will try and defeat the storng protection on the DVD, but at the cost of speed.
If you have problems opening the DVD to view the available Titles and Chapters, then try setting the option DVD Table of Contents to Enhanced and then open the DVD.
