DVD to iPod Wizard
The DVD to iPod Wizard helps the novice user have a very quick and easy ripping experience.
The DVD to iPod Wizard is found under the Help Menu.
Step 1 asks you to identify which iPod you have. Please note if your iPod is not video capable (Shuffle, Nano and Mini) - the wizard will automatically create MP3 audio tracks.
Step 2, asks you to provide the details of which DVD drive you want to rip from.
If you insert a DVD movie after starting the wizard and find the DVD Drive list empty, just press the Refresh button and this should populate the list with your DVD drive.
Press Next to move to Step 3.
Step 3, asks you which part of the DVD disc you wish to rip to your iPod. The wizard will have intelligently worked out what it thinks is the main movie from the DVD and in 99% of the times, it will be correct. You may also provide Audio Track and Subtitle selections.
Press Next to move to the final Step.
Step 4, which is the final step, allows you to choose a folder where you want your iPod files to be saved and also choose the quality of the Video within those files.
You may also automatically update your iTunes Library, choose video type and quality and if you have dual or quad core CPU's.
When you have made your selection, Press the Start button to being the encoding process. |
