Cut Parts of Movie for Ripping
Cutting a part of the DVD movie, by specifying a Start position and End Position is done through the DVD Player.
Below are step by step instructions to help you achieve this.
Load your DVD into DVD to iPod
From the main menu, select Ripping and then choose DVD Player or from the Toolbar, click the Icon as show below
The DVD Player will now load and automatically start playing the DVD main title.
Dragging the scrollbar at the bottom of the DVD Player across, will result in the DVD playback will be positioned to the requested place.
Position the scrollbar to the position you want to start ripping from. (TIP: using the DVD in Pause mode, may help you find your start time easier)
Now right click the scrollbar selector and a popup menu will appear (as shown below)
Select the Mark Start Time option
Now position the scrollbar to the end point (where you want your cut to finish)
Select the Mark End Time option
You can now close the DVD Player.
Back in the main program window, the duration field for the Title your cutting will be shown in red. This is to indicate to you that a cut (Start Time to End Time) is to be performed on this Title.
Now choose your Video and Audio settings and Rip.
