Recipe File
Objective
This function is to allow you to enter, view and print thousands of Recipes. You can change serving amounts and the program will automatically recalculate item amounts, etc.
How to Use
Select Cookbook:
Use the Select Cookbook option to select the cookbook you desire to use. You can now select 1 to 8 cookbooks. Use the Cookbook Titles Option to give or change a cookbook Titles as you so desire.
[NOTE: When you select a cookbook, that cookbook will be loaded each time you enter the recipe function, until you select another cookbook. Also, cookbooks 2 thru 8 contain no recipes until you start entering them as you desire.]
To Create a Recipe:
Click Create Recipe Button, click Type combo box and select Type desired. Type the new recipe name in text box in upper right hand corner.
To View a Recipe:
Click View Recipe Button, click Type combo box, select type then select recipe to view. The other buttons will become available for use.
To Search for Recipe by Recipe Name or By Ingredient:
Click Search Button, then select Search by Recipe or Search by Ingredient then follow the guides in that screen to enter recipe/ingredient(s) for which you are searching.
To Export Recipe to Disk (Drive a:):
First, select View Recipe, then select Recipe to Export, select Options and click on Export Recipe to Disk.
[EXPORT NOTE: To insure proper functioning, remove all " (quotation marks), if any, from the Ingredients and Cooking Information sections of the Recipe! They are OK to use in the Directions section for inches, etc.]
To Import Recipe from Disk (Drive a:):
First, select Create Recipe, then select Options and click on Import Recipe from Disk, select Recipe from list for Import.
[NOTE: Since the program can recalculate amounts you must enter amount as whole and or decimal number thus 1/8 = .125, 1/4 = .25, 1/3 = .33, 2/3 = .67, etc.]
To Change a Recipe Name:
First, click on the View Recipe Button and then select the Recipe Type and then the Recipe that you want to change the name of.
After you have selected the desired recipe, select the Option Menu and Click on the Change Recipe Name Option.
This action will bring up a enter screen that lets you modify or change the existing Recipe Name.
[NOTE: Do Not click any other Command Button such as the Modify Recipe Button for this will turn off the Change Recipe Name Option - due to you the fact that the modified data may not be saved properly when you change the Recipe Name.]
To add a Recipe Picture:
To add a picture of a recipe, click on the small camera icon that will appear above and near the right side of the ingredient area of the recipe when the create or modify options are selected. This will bring up a select recipe picture panel which lets you select the path to the picture you want to be associated with the current recipe. Once a picture is selected, click on the appropriate key to add the picture to the recipe. Once a picture is added, when you View a recipe the camera icon will appear and if clicked will show the picture associated with the recipe.
