Auto Maintenance Deluxe
Objective
This function has been designed to allow you to tract your vehicles information and maintenance requirements, etc.
How to Use
Enter new auto information by first clicking on the Create New File button.
Then enter auto information in the text boxes as needed.
Move from one text box to another by either using the Enter Key or the Tab Key.
Command Buttons are all self explanatory - so use as desired or required!
They will become available based on the Command key selected and after data is entered.
To view already entered vehicle information; first, click the View Existing File button, which will activate the Auto Combo list. Then click on combo list drop down button and select the Auto file you desire to view or update.
[Note: As you use this function you will see that the number and cost data is automatically formatted for you, so there is no need to put in commas in numbers or start dollar amounts with Dollar ($) signs. Dates can be entered in several formats, i.e. 01-01-00, or 1-1-00, or 01/01/00 or as Jan 1, 00.]
In some grids you and Click and Drag a row of data to another location. This is done by first placing the cursor over the box on the left side of the row you desire to move and clicking the left mouse button and then while holding down the mouse button - move the cursor to the new location and then release the mouse button. The box on the left side will turn darker to indicate the row being moved.
To delete an entry in the fuel grid, first click on the row you desire to delete and then press the Delete key.
[AN IMPORTANT NOTE: All History files are keyed on the Mileage entry, and are updated whenever you change a mileage entry or mileage entries (for different actions) and then click the Save button. So be sure to enter at least the Mileage before pressing the Save button if you want the History Files to be updated. Also, if you accidentally or unknowingly enter data into the History files you can delete individual entries while in the View History File area of the program. To do this first select the View Maint. History or View Rep/Exp History button that contains the error, click on the row you desire to delete then click the Delete Entry button.]
To Load Picture
To add a photo of a vehicle, in the information area, click on the Add/Edit button and select picture location, followed by the appropriate button as desired. File must then be saved for picture to be added.
[Note: The program saves the path to the picture not the picture itself, so if you move the picture to a new location the picture path will have to be loaded again in order for the picture to be displayed!]
