Renaming Rules
On the "Archives" - "Renaming rules" tab page of main Duplicate File Remover Pro window are located archives renaming rules, that define, how are renamed archives, that were not extracted or deleted.
Duplicate File Remover Pro renames archives, basing on names of files inside of archive. All main file types have their priorities, basing on which file names are used. For example, if archive have an executable file and a text file inside, for new archive name will be used name of executable file, cause archive renaming rule for "EXE" file extension have higher priority, than archive renaming rule for "TXT" file extension. In most cases, users who only begin to use Duplicate File Remover Pro, don't need to change archives renaming rules, cause a wide range of archive renaming rules for archives with content of any type are already included in installed version.

If you want to rename all archives and don't extract some of them according to archives extraction rules, check "Rename all archives".
To quickly edit one of existing archive renaming rules, double-click on it by left mouse button.
To add new, edit or remove existing archive renaming rules, right-click on list with archive renaming rules. Will be opened following menu:

Click "Add" context menu item to add new archive renaming rule.
Click "Edit" context menu item to edit selected archive renaming rule.
Click "Delete" context menu item to delete selected archive renaming rule. |
