Color Definitions

The "Color Definitions" dialog (Tools->Color Definitions) allows you to setup predefined foreground, background and mixed color palettes for frequently used colors (for RichView and RichEdit note types).

Color Definitions

When a palette toolbar is "locked" you can't change the color definitions "in place" (i.e from the toolbar itself), however the toolbar will take up less space.

To setup the foreground and background palettes, choose the number of slots for each palette from the Color Definitions dialog, and then modify the colors on the corresponding toolbar. For mixed colors (i.e foreground and background colors) you can additionally set the colors in the dialog itself.

You can use the mixed toolbar for foreground and background color definitions as well, however the intended/dedicated toolbars are easier to use compared to the mixed toolbar.

Styles manager

The Styles Manager allows you to create and store a set of predefined styles which you can quickly apply you to text when you edit a document. Usually you will want to select a section of text and then apply a style to it. You can also apply a style without selecting any text. This will then change the current style of the cursor.

In the Style Manager dialog, you can change the font of the currently selected style by clicking on the "font" button, or simply double-clicking on the style in the list.

Page transfer dialog

The Page Transfer Dialog allows you to move or copy pages from one notebook to another. The dialog contains four "mini" notebook frames. When you open a file, only it's pages are shown. Each frame allows you to perform the same file operations for the file it is associated with, as those available for a file opened in the main application.

After opening the files you want to work on, drag and drop the desired pages from one frame to another. The bottom left of the dialog contains a "copy" and a "move" button. These buttons control which mode will be used when drag/dropping from one frame to another. If the copy button is selected then pages will be copied from one notebook to another. If the move button is selected then pages will be moved from one notebook to the other.
